Set of two (x2) rare 1930s French Art Deco Reclining Lounge Chairs!
These chairs were hand crafted in France in the 1930s. The chairs are 100% original, and have never been reupholstered. The inner suspension and horsehair have never been changed, and the moleskin covering for the seat, back, and arms is 100% original. The chairs have a special reclining mechanism that is accessible under the seat, making these chairs quite interesting and very unique. The chairs sit on polished chrome tubular metal frames.
The original designer of the chairs is unknown, but they are part of the esteemed French upholsterer Raoul Benassaya's personal collection. The chairs would definitely be a welcome addition for anyone who appreciates these French art deco pieces.
