About the Item
Beautiful lounge chair made in Denmark in the 1940s. The chair bears some resemblance to Frits Hansen's model 1669 highback. The chair is not marked similar to the vast majority of chairs from the period. We do love the sculptural organic shape and harmonious proportions of this chair combined with moderate size making it very suitable for today's urban dwellings. Raised on stained beech legs and beech frame. Spring coils in the seat and backrest. Sturdy and strong but the original fabric shows wear and dirt and needs making it a candidate for re-upholstery. The legs will be refinished. We do offer reupholstery services for this chair at very competitive prices.
