About the Item
This is an ultra rare 'Halston' Armchair, designed by Charles Pfister for the Metropolitan Furniture Company in 1979. This example dates to the 1980s. It was acquired from a former Metropolitan Furniture representative who would bring this particular chair to architectural offices as a sample. The piece has a polished stainless steel frame and black leather upholstery, and it retains its original label.
The chair measures 22.75 inches long, 24.25 inches wide, and is 30.25 inches high. It has an arm height of 25.5 inches, and a seat height of 18.5 inches. The black leather has been recently conditioned, but shows some scratches and fading. The stainless steel frame has some scratches. Overall, this chair is in good condition. Please see photos.
