About the Item
A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian recliner chair, Poltrona Relax made of hand crafted polished Walnut, produced by ISA Bergamo in good condition. The reading lounge chair is particularized by brass nailheads, composed with an adjustable, pull-out foot rest, the high backrest is adjustable detailed with slightly curved arms, standing on four angled wooden legs which is optimal comfort in any setting. Newly upholstered in a light-grey, white cotton velour. Wear consistent with age and use. Circa 1950, Italy.

I.S.A. Industria Salotti e Arredfamenti, also known as ISA, ISA Bergamo and ISA was an Italian furniture manufacturer, founded in the late 1940’s, in Ponte San Pietro, a small village outside of Bergamo, Italy. The company produced the art work, designed by the famous architect and designer Giovanni Ponti and also worked together with the well-known Italian painter Angelo Morbelli and many other famous artists. Until today, the Vintage ISA furniture is highly sought after.
