Arden Riddle solid Walnut
Black Leather Lounge Chair + Ottoman, 1969. Featuring a reinforced solid Walnut block framework, solid angled side panels and arm rests (20H), ergonomic, spring (35H) back and seat (12.5H), adjustable rear slat back, newly upholstered Black leather cushions with separate overhang head cushion, and sturdy, braced, angled four legged Ottoman (22W x 18D x 12.5H), 17H with cushion. Comfortable. Architectural. Rarity. Total 6 pieces. With burn stamp AR 1969. Additional shipping options may be available, please inquire.
From the Arden Riddle Organization: "The simplicity of the construction is as important as the simplicity of the design. He built his pieces with butt joints reinforced with dowels, which he would dry before inserting so they would absorb moisture and swell once in place. All of his pieces are treated with a finish that is impregnated within the wood, so it holds up well to wear and can easily be refreshed. Customers never lost their appreciation for the modern aesthetic or for Arden’s commitment to superb craftsmanship."
