About the Item

A stunning lounge chair and ottoman designed by Bent Moller Jepsen in the late 1950s and produced by Simo of Denmark. A rare early version this has been beautifully reupholstered in a 100% Wool mohair. The teak accents and legs are in good condition. Ottoman measures approx 24x16 inches and is 15 inches in height. Clearly the designer derived his inspiration from Hans Wegner and his Papa Bear Chair. You can see the difference in one of the photos next to the purple one in our gallery. This chair bears he original Simo Tag which is underneath the bottom covering of the reupholstered chair. We have pictured it next to a Herman Miller Eames chair for scale as well.
