About the Item

Sublime large scale lounge chair in the style of Fritz Hansen and Slagelse Mobelvaerk and made in the the early 1940s. The chair is unmarked and we are not aware of the Designer nor maker. Raised on block shaped legs made from beech wood. Superbly comfortable with large but harmonic proportions, coil springs in seat and back, and a charming and very strong presence to anchor any room. The backrest fans out a bit at the top adding a nice flair. Upholstered at a later point but is showing wear and dirt and needs to get reupholstered. We are able to reupholster the chair at a very attractive price and can recover in any fabric of your choice our own lambswool or in real shearling. Overall very good sturdy condition
