This chair reflects the hallmarks of 1960s Danish modern design: a streamlined silhouette, an emphasis on natural materials, and a sculptural yet pragmatic approach to comfort. The frame is built of solid teak distinguished by its rich, warm color and smooth grain. Its softly curved arms and legs demonstrate the era’s fascination with organic lines (rather than rigid geometric angles). The gently angled backrest and low-slung seat height speak to a human-centered approach to design: comfortable seating was paramount, but it had to be executed in an elegantly minimal form. In place of bulky upholstery, the seat and back are rendered in taut cognac leather, slung between the wooden supports.
