Lounge chair, stained wood, fabric, Europe, 1950s
This easy chair with its soft edges, tufted buttons, and sturdy shapes is typical for design of the fifties. The imposing, curvaceous backrest creates a comfortable experience, stimulating the sitter to spend more time on it. The backrest of this chair has modest wings accompanied with bulky, round armrests that makes it possible to lay down your arms comfortably. The chair is upholstered in a decorative fabric with abstract motifs in soft colors dominating the surface. Interesting feature are the contrasted wooden legs.

Established in 2006, Morentz has a team of approximately 55 restorers, upholsterers, interior advisers and art historians, making it a gallery, workshop and upholstery studio, all in one.
