About the Item
A ‘Flou’ lounge chair designed by Augusto Betti for Habitat Faenza in 1968. This chair has a sculptural white fiberglass frame and features original cognac leather upholstery. Sourced in Italy.
Augusto Betti (1919-2013) was an Italian artist and designer who began his career with traditional training at the Faenza ceramics factory. In the 1960s he began to experiment with resins and plastics, which would lead to the production of some of his most iconic space age designs. He later taught Professional Artistic Design at the Ballardini Institute in Faenza and held the chair of Theory of Perception at the Institute of Artistic Industries in Faenza.

- Condition:Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Great vintage condition. Leather has been restored, does show some signs of wear consistent with age and use. One fiberglass base has a minor scuff mark on the arm.
