About the Item

A rare R3 armchair, called Boule from the french ball. Designed by Charles Zubrena these particular chairs have been produced by Les Plastiques de Bourgogne in the 60s and 70s. Made of polyester fiber shell, they retain the original white lacquer. Charles Zubrena was a French designer who died in 1986. He is best known for his contributions to industrial furniture design and the use of fiberglass.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Paint chipping + chipping to the frame, light scratches from use and natural wear. Re-lacquering is available however due to the rare nature of the Boule Chair, we have opted to keep it in its original condition.
