About the Item

Sold and priced individually. A 1970s French lounge chair, designed by an architect for his personal residence. The solid wood frame reads almost architectural—broad, grounded, and precisely constructed, with softly rounded corners. The seat cushions float on a canvas sling, its proportions thoughtfully scaled for comfort. Newly upholstered in a mottled ivory and sand bouclé, the cushions are generous yet tailored, offering contrast against the warm tone of the wood. Crafted with an architect’s eye for line, joinery, and scale, the chair is equally suited to a reading corner or styled as a pair to anchor a conversation area. Condition: Great vintage condition. This chair has been professionally reupholstered by our team of restorationists with new, medium-density, knife-edge cushions in a mottled woven bouclé fabric. The wood frame shows minor wear along the bottom edges and light surface scratches, consistent with age and use.
