About the Item
Beautiful hand-carved Sabina of Mexico pine log chairs from Mexico, circa 1970. This somewhat primitive interpretation of the organic modern/brutalist design aesthetic really honors the natural material with minimal alterations to the natural tree forms- seats are carved to support the soft curves of the human body.
Striking from any angle; in the short time they have been in my showroom, I find there can often be a person interested in knowing about them or occasionally I find one already using them(!)
Simply put: It is quite clear that these chairs are visually appealing, sculpturally intriguing and VERY comfortable for sitting.
Fine for use Indoors or out. Nice overall age-appropriate patina to the wood with a recent conditioning; these are extremely sturdy chairs. HANDMADE/one-of-a-kind.
