Hunter chair by Torbjørn Afdal for Bruksbo Norway, 1960s
A lounge chair designed by Torbjørn Afdal (1917-1999) for Bruksbo Tegnekontor Norway, 1960s. Model Hunter, a wooden frame with linen inside secured to the wood with threaded string. The armrests of black leather and the cushions consisting of a whole of brown leather. The chair is used and shows signs of use.
The measurements are 79 cm high, 65 cm wide and 78 cm deep. The seat height is 45 cm.
The weight is about 12 kilos.

Torbjørn Afdal
Torbjørn Afdal was one of the leading designers at Bruksbo Tegnekontor and in Scandinavia. Afdal became more well known when his furniture was bought by US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy and by the Japanese Emperor. In later years, he was granted the commission to design the parliamentary and chairs and tables to the courthouse in Oslo.
