About the Item

Móveis Cimo / Pair of Armchairs Imbuia Wood, Dedar Milano Fabric 1960s, Brazil Matching Sofa Available Founded in 1913 in Santa Catarina, Móveis Cimo grew from a small box factory into the largest furniture manufacturer in Latin America. Between the 1930s and 1970s the company became a pioneer in industrialized furniture production in Brazil, introducing product standardization, serial manufacturing, and advanced techniques for the time. While committed to accessible pricing, Cimo never abandoned quality: through rational use of materials and refined construction, it created durable and elegant pieces that shaped everyday interiors across the country. More than a manufacturer, Móveis Cimo played a foundational role in Brazil’s modern furniture history, bridging artisanal tradition and mass production on an unprecedented scale.
