About the Item
Art Deco, the glamorous and influential design movement that emerged during the early 20th century, left an indelible mark on the world of furniture design. This beautiful and elegant seating group includes (2) lounge chairs and (2) ottomans. Completely restored by our in-house atelier. The structure is very solid and is made of walnut. Each chair featuring open arm frames, the beautiful upholstery is visible from the sides as well. The tightly upholstered seats and backs - while adding plenty of comfort and cosiness to the design - don’t take the attention away from the wooden structures, which shows the design skill of the maker. The pedestal-like legs connect directly to the arms and hold the bodies in an almost gravity defying way. This feature shows the high level craftsmanship of the Art Deco era.
