James Shoolbred
Co also known as Jas Shoolbred began in the 1820s as a draper’s shop, supplying textiles to the furniture trade with premises in Tottenham Court Road, London. In the 1860s, Jas Shoolbred began designing and making high-quality antique furniture. They were so successful that by the 1890’s, they had workshops, showrooms, and other premises in London at:

They employed professional designers such as Owen W. Cavis and H. W. Batley, the latter who had worked alongside E W Godwin and specialized in Japanese, Aesthetic style furniture.
Jas Shoolbred was granted a Royal warrant by the mid-1880s, and their furniture was some of the best quality available in the late Victorian period.
