Lounge chairs, stained pine, rope, Italy, 1970s
The designer of this Italian lounge chair truly wanted to impress the viewer with a monumental, volumetric design. The wide frame in stained pine features wonderful lines. Par example, the decorative tops of the back legs or the angled armrest that bends artistically. The connective joints that are visible in front of all legs have a strong decorative character too. The seat is provided by a white net that could not contrast more with the frame. In color but also in texture both materials could not be more different which contributes to the strong visual effect of the chair.
We would like to bring to your attention that the upholstery in this case with sheepskin could also work with a cushion which can be made in our in-house restoration and upholstery atelier.
Please note that the framework is in good, used condition with wear, including dents, scratches, and a fissure. Restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized restoration is possible as well.
