MP-81 lounge chairs by Percival Lafer, designed in the 1970s, exemplary pieces of Brazilian mid-century modern design. These chairs feature beautifully restored red leather paired with jacaranda wood frames, perfectly embodying Lafer's vision of ergonomics and comfort. With a solid wood structure supporting a single-piece seat and back, the MP-81 makes a bold, authentic statement in any room. The innovative construction consists of two fiberglass shells, welded together to form a single, rigid element. Solid wood feet are attached to the structure using screw nuts and can be assembled into two different positions - either with or without the headrest. When the headrest is included, the back feet incline, creating a more relaxed, laid-back posture for the user. The luxurious red leather upholstery, made with injected foam, adds to the plush seating experience. Reflecting the forward-thinking production techniques of Móveis Lafer, these chairs also feature demountable and easy-to-transport elements, making them versatile and practical.
