About the Item

A San Demas by Mark Brazier-Jones, designed during the second half of the 1990s. Mark Brazier-Jones (UK, New Zealand born) is known for his particular surrealistic style often referred to as neo classical or even space-age baroque. According to the artist himself, “Form does follow function” but he does consider part of the furniture’s function as decorative, expressed by a certain flamboyance found in most of his designs. Mark Brazier-Jones’ work is featured in several museums, and have seen steadily rising prices in the last few years. An interesting trivia is that the exactly this same chair was featured in the latest 101 Dalmatians movie.
