About the Item
Marvelous MCM (a.k.a. Mid-Century Modern) Scandinavian Style high back lounge chair and ottoman attributed to Home Chair Company. This set has been professionally reupholstered in new fabric with a taupe grey background and black and bronze geometrical shapes. Walnut tone wood frame has been refinished by our experienced staff and it is in wonderful vintage condition. Please see photos circa 1950-1960.

American made but a Scandinavian Modern design this chair will bring a bold statement to any room in your house. It has been professionally reupholstered in a gorgeous taupe/grey fabric with geometric bulb shapes in black and bronze. It would look stunning in a lounge room, living room, den, or maybe the corner of your bedroom. It is the perfect set up you need when grabbing your favorite novel and kicking up your feet to read and relax. It is so comfortable you will want to stay in it when the book is finished! Similar in style to a Milo Baughman for James, Inc lounge chair, but this one has its own unique flare. Attributed to Home Chair Company it needs no name to make a big statement. It only has one problem…you will have a difficult time deciding what room you love it best. Just make it yours!

Handsome and iconic Scandinavian Modern Scissor lounge chair designed by Folke Ohlsson for DUX. It is in wonderful vintage condition. The wood frame has been restored; however, there may still be small signs of age. We did have to fill some rather deep flaws in the wood. The straps have been replaced with appropriate new straps. And the foam cushions are new and newly upholstered. Please see photos, circa 1950s.
Now you can get all your DUX in a row!! Sorry, I couldn’t resist. This is the iconic and beautiful Scissor Lounge Chair. It was designed by Folke Ohlsson for his company DUX, Inc. purportedly in 1949. It is so incredible in its simplicity and when viewed from the side you can see immediately where it got its name. We are very excited about this wonderful chair here at our shop. Its walnut frame has been completely restored and we have replaced all the straps, which were beyond repair, with proper strapping. Plus, we have made new foam cushions and upholstered them in a fabulous black and taupe horizontal stripe fabric.
