About the Item
A rolling lounge chair by Airborne International, designed and manufactured in the 1970s. This piece is an exceptional example of French Mid-Century design, balancing structural integrity with soft comfort. The frame, with its structured ribbed and sewn back and sides, provides both a stylish aesthetic and a supportive foundation for the supple leather cushions. Five of these chairs are available, each priced individually, offering a unique opportunity to acquire a single piece or a set for a larger project.
The chair is in original, as-found condition, and the natural leather has developed a beautiful patina consistent with its age and use. The leather has lightened over time, resulting in a lighter coloration. The visible wear on the leather and frame attests to its history. The rolling casters are in good working order. Another set of similar chairs is also available with a richer, darker leather and without wheels (LU922443897182).
