About the Item

id-century case lounge designed by Jydsk Møbelvaerk, made in Denmark circa 1960s. This lounge is encased in our favorite wood species, rosewood. The back and sides an enveloped in rich rosewood wood grain allowing the sofa to look stunning from every angle. We have reupholstered this piece with new foam and new fabric in a golden mustard yellow velvet. The yellow tones contrast perfectly with the rosewood, popping against the warm tones. The color is a bit of an ode to the mid-century aesthetic, but easily versatile in modern interiors. The lounge sits atop four rectangular chrome legs. These legs are new as the original needed to replace. We chose this set as they closely resemble the original stylings. In overall great vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Extremely comfortable, low profile, and overall a stunning piece. The matching lounge to the case sofa we also have in stock. Dimensions: 32” W x 31.5” D x 24” H Seat Height: 15” H
