Available here is truly a rare, fantastic and iconic Danish style Walnut Mid Century Lounge Chair. It is an original vintage frame, that has been completely cleaned and beautifully restored. The Frame has had customized rope seating done for it. Seats comfortably, and looks phenomenal!! Great for any space. Optional-- add an accent pillow for a slice of color and additional seating cushions. Not needed, but an option.
Very sturdy, comfortable, and functional in its current setup.
This chair shows very well, and is perfect for a mid century, danish modern, or post modern MCM aesthetic, as an accent chair or lounge chair.
Original medallion is present, stating "Johnson Furniture co." This chair has been imported from Denmark to Chicago for sale in the US in the 1960s.

Designer Franco Albini is well known for his "Margherita chair" as this is one of the most notable pieces of furniture created by the Lombard architect and designer in the 1950s. He partnered with Franca Helg for various projects in years. Albini’s inspiration in creating the chair is to suspend things and people in the air. Since it is a wooden, rattan and reed chair, a garden is the perfect setting for it. Just after a year of its creation, Margherita chair won first place at the 9th Milan Triennale. Moreover, MoMA in New York City, the Museum of Art in Philadelphia, and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan showcased this beautiful and stunning wooden chair.
