About the Item

A quintessential piece of Danish Modern design, this pair of Model GE-375 lounge chairs, designed by the master Hans J. Wegner in 1969 for Getama, is a showcase of elegant simplicity and masterful craftsmanship. The chairs feature a solid oak frame, expertly constructed with visible, honest joinery that is a hallmark of Wegner's design philosophy. The reclined backrest and thick, comfortable cushions invite relaxation, making these chairs as functional as they are beautiful. Each chair can stand alone as a statement piece, but together they form a handsome pair that elevates any living room, study, or lounge. The oak frame, with its rich patina earned over years of careful use, brings a sense of warmth and history to a space. The pieces have been reupholstered in Pierre Frey Fabric along with a new strap in natural tanned leather that will patina with age.
