About the Item

A rare and absolutely incredible ‘Town Hall’ lounge chair designed by Hans Wegner for Plan Mobel, Denmark. This piece, one of Wegner’s earliest works, was designed for the Aarhus City Hall, and is as beautiful as any chair that followed. It features a simple, yet elegantly proportioned solid oak frame with a generous and supportive backrest, nicely angled arm joint, and flared arm rests. It has been recently upholstered in a premium black leather. Measures 25” W x 27” D x 18” H seat / 34” H back. Very nice condition with minimal traces of wear.
