About the Item
Pair of lounge chairs, dating back to the 1950s, representing a classic example of mid-century French design. The armchairs have been meticulously restored and reupholstered, featuring new foam and cushions. The fabric chosen for the reupholstery is a cream-coloured wool and mohair boucle from England, which adds a textured and sophisticated finish.
The design of the armchairs is characterised by their smooth, flowing lines, which are elegantly highlighted by feature piping that runs along the arms and around the cushions. The armchairs stand on black splayed legs, a hallmark of the mid-century modern aesthetic. These wooden legs are protected by aged brass tips, which not only serve a functional purpose but also add a touch of refined detail.
The armchairs are in very good condition following their restoration. The armchairs are perfect for complementing a sofa and enhancing the aesthetic of a living room space.
