About the Item
1970s mid century modern Norwegian "Skyline" bent Beech lounge chairs by Einar Hove for Hove Møbler. Crafted from bent beech wood with a dark chestnut stain, showcasing an elegant cantilevered curved design which provides a gentle rocking motion. The chairs feature supple brown leather detachable buttoned cushions which are deeply cushioned and comfortable.
The beech frames are in very good vintage condition with no splits, chips or missing parts. Very sturdy indeed.
The cushions are slightly different in colour. One is of a darker brown with some age related cracking to the leather but no splits. I have fed it with some leather balm. The other cushion shows some discolouration specifically on the bottom area of the seat illustrated in the images. This is to be expected because they're over 50 years old and adds to their character.
Perfect as side chairs in a living room or perhaps in the corner of a bedroom. Incredibly comfortable and functional.
