Pair of lounge chairs, oak, velvet, brass, Europe, 1940s
Charming pair of armchairs that originate from the 1930s-1940s Art Deco period. The solid oak frame outlines the chair in two continuous, gently curved arms that run from the backrest to the floor, defining a clear architectural silhouette. The arched-shaped legs elevate the piece with grace and poise. The upholstery, in dusty pink velvet, is generously padded, creating soft, rounded volumes that contrast with the crisp linearity of the frame. The thickness of the upholstery enhances both comfort and presence, emphasizing the chair’s sculptural character. Along the lower edge of the seat, a line of brass studs traces the contour.

Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier.
