About the Item

Designed by Titina Ammannati and Gianpiero Vitelli for Brunati in the 1970s, this sculptural pair of slipper chairs features newly upholstered velvet over their original molded fiberglass frames. The design is defined by wide proportions, low slung silhouettes, and channel tufting that runs continuously across the seat and backrest. The rich blue velvet adds depth and texture while nodding to the era’s theatrical material palette. This model exemplifies Brunati’s expressive take on Italian postmodernism, combining bold volume with pared back detailing.
