About the Item
A pair of lounge chairs designed by Carl-Johan Boman at Boman Oy in Finland. The chairs are newly reupholstered in our own upholstery workshop with moonlight sheepskin. The chair comes with original varnished beech legs, the seat height is 38 cm and the back is 76 cm tall. They are in excellent condition except from some minor marks on the legs.
Carl-Johan Boman was a pioneering Finnish furniture designer whose work defined an era of Nordic elegance and innovation. Known for his refined craftsmanship and keen eye for proportion, Boman created furniture that seamlessly blended tradition with modernity. His designs embody a quiet sophistication — simple yet expressive, functional yet full of character. With a deep respect for materials and meticulous attention to detail, Boman transformed everyday objects into lasting works of art. His legacy continues to inspire new generations of designers, reminding us that true beauty lies in the harmony between form, function, and authenticity. Boman was an educated designer who first worked for Boman Furniture Factory, founded by his father in the late 19th century.
