About the Item
In this listing you will find a pair of Postmodern lounge chairs, model "Baobab". The chairs were designed by Lievore Altherr Molina and manufactured by Tacchini. They feature a unique shape, fully upholstered in orange leather; non-removable cover; hidden glides beneath. The Baobab chair is named after the African tree known for its massive, protective trunk.
Lievore Altherr Molina interpreted that idea into a soft, monolithic volume — rounded, welcoming, and organic — evoking the sense of sitting against a natural form rather than a rigid frame. The design plays on visual balance and asymmetry, with a slightly off-center backrest and a generous, pebble-like seat.Made in Italy in 2010.
Chairs are in a very good vintage condition with some signs of time and use, such as small scratches.
