Pair of Mid Century Modern “Hunter” Leather and Oak Lounge chairs designed by Torbjorn Afdal for Bruksbo Norway c.1960’s. Oak frames with canvas sling and Chocolate Brown leather cushions, and leather strap arm rests. A classic timeless design that would blend well with a variety of interior design styles. Dimensions: 30.5”H x 26.5”W x 31”D, SH 15”.
Overall good vintage condition, typical fading, scuffs and scratches to wood and age appropriate patina to leather.

Torbjørn Afdal
Torbjørn Afdal was one of the leading designers at Bruksbo Tegnekontor and in Scandinavia. Afdal became more well known when his furniture was bought by US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy and by the Japanese Emperor. In later years, he was granted the commission to design the parliamentary and chairs and tables to the courthouse in Oslo.
