About the Item

Stunning and rare AP-14 “Anneau” chair, designed by French designer Pierre Paulin in the 1950s and produced by AP Polak. An exceptional early Paulin piece, celebrated for its refined minimalism and sculptural presence. Two gracefully curved tubular steel frames support the renewed cognac leather sling seat, secured with elegant metal clips that highlight the purity of the design. The cognac leather adding warmth and authenticity to the chair’s striking silhouette. The tubular steel frame enhances the airy, modern character that makes this model so iconic. The AP-14 — also known as the “Anneau” Chair — is considered one of Paulin’s rare and most collectible designs. Its combination of scarcity, craftsmanship, and timeless form makes it a standout piece for discerning collectors and enthusiasts of true mid-century design.
