Expert custom upholstery service is available. A stellar pair of rare modern lounge chairs, circa 1955. Beautifully conceived and expertly crafted solid Walnut construction with solid Brass sabots accenting the leg. Stout and extremely comfortable. A pair of these rare chairs were sold in the Febuary, 2012 Palm Beach Modern Auction as attributed to T. H. Robsjohn-Gibbings. Additionally, another pair were chronicled in a 2010 Elle Decor magazine spread - also noted as being a Gibbings design. These examples are no longer marked. Incredible pieces of Organic Jewelry. Important chairs designed to highlight an important space. EXCELLENT RESTORED CONDITION. Meticulous complete professional restoration. The chairs are stout, tight and sturdy; suitable for heavy routine use. The walnut projects a wonderful rich color; lacquer finish with fabulous depth and sheen.
