About the Item

Rare lounge chairs designed by Hans-Harald Molander. Manufactured by Nordiska Kompaniet (NK) in Sweden during the 1950s. Made from black lacquered steel base with upholstered seats. Molded seats entirely reupholstered. New foam and fabric with a beige "bouclé" fabric from Dedar. The chair model was exhibited at Röhsska Museum during the exhibition "52 möbler 52" in 1952. Was used in various interiors during the world acclaimed "H55" exhibition in Helsingborg in 1955 (multiple pictures in nordic documentation from those years). Those beautiful seats will bring warmth and comfort in a modern interior living room or bedroom. Moreover they will match perfectly with Scandinavian pieces from designers such as Hans Bergström, Josef Frank, Paavo Tynell, Alvar Aalto, Hans-Agne Jakobsson, Hans Wegner, Arne Jacobsen and so on.
