About the Item

Stunning Nordic pair of safari lounge chairs in original condition, made in Norway 1965. These fantastic chairs are made of solid mahogany frames and thick black saddle leather seats, and are in a very good and original condition. The chairs are made to look like campaign or officers chairs, but distinguish themselves with strong scandinavian features. Allthough the maker could not be traced, quality radiates all over. The deep black leather cushions are a nice and comfortable addition to the dark mahogany wood and has a lot of interesting details. The frame for example, is made of smooth cross sections of wood, and its feet are slightly tilted towards the top so they can support the armrests. The leather itself is very thick and sturdy and has been provided with quality stitching. During their life, these chairs have been well taken care of, no significant damages such as discoloration, dried out leather can be found. A set like this would make a great addition to any interior as they have a timeless appearance.
