About the Item
This chair, which is a true eye-catcher, was manufactured by the Swedish company Diö Slöjd
Möbler in the 1950.
Note its beautifully exposed black-lacquered frame! Much like an architect leaving beams visible in a mid-century home to showcase the beauty of the structure. Here, too, the visible frame adds a striking and powerful presence to the design.
Its upholstery is an orange bouclé that has aged gracefully. Apart from the expected wear consistent with age and use, it shows no other defects. It may even be the original fabric.
This chair is also incredibly comfortable. Its reclined backrest encourages a relaxed seating position, inviting you to lean back and unwind. Just as the Scandinavian designers intended.
