About the Item

Elegant and unusual lounge chair from the 1940's in the style of Swedish Designer, Carl Malmsten. We have never seen any other examples of this chair and it may well be a one-of-a- kind chair by a Danish Cabinetmaker. Armrests and base made form nicely figured oak. Upscale very charming and even playful design. Sturdy and strong with coil springs in the backrest and seat. Upholstered in a red midcentury wool at a later point and remains in clean still usable condition with minor signs of wear. We are able to offer reupholstery services for this chair at very competitive prices, however. Overall very good condition
