About the Item
Mid-century cylindrical armchairs, designed in Brazil circa 1970 by an unknown designer. Each armchair features a unique hammock-like structure of connected wooden slats, supporting four loose roll cushions secured by black natural leather straps and fixed with rosewood plugs. The base, made from upholstered plywood, is covered in luxurious similicuir. Acquired at an auction in Rio de Janeiro in 2023, these armchairs have been carefully restored. The original foam cushions were cleaned and re-plumped, and the leather straps were replaced, while the bases were redone due to water damage. Each piece is priced individually, and a matching sofa is available to complete the set.
