About the Item
The So Disco lounge chair is part of the So Disco collection designed by Egg Designs and manufactured by a group of artisan in small batch production. This lounge chair has very generous proportions, it could also work as a love seat.
The So Disco lounge chair is entirely handmade, each ceramic leg is individually hand moulded by a ceramic artist and glazed so that no two pieces are the same. Each piece of the 1970's inspired pattern is hand cut and applied to achieve a modern aesthetic.
The glaze, specifically developed for the collection, is applied in a freeform manner further enhancing the unique character of each piece. It is important to note that the glazing variances and inconsistencies are the signature of the So Disco collection.
The form and scale of the ceramic legs give a brutalist and minimal appearance to the lounge chair, this chair would fit well in any style interior from modern and minimal to mid century modern, it is a stand out piece with a timeless appeal.
The ceramic base is paired with cream boucle' upholstery, a very on trend textile.
