About the Item

La poltrona Vicario è stata disegnata da Vico Magistretti alla fine degli anni '60 per Artemide. In produzione dal 1970 fino alla metà degli anni '70. Realizzata in plastica ABS, questa poltrona è caratterizzata da forme fluide e da un perfetto rapporto tra design, funzionalità e comfort. Icona del design italiano in stile futuristico, è stata utilizzata nella serie TV "Spazio 1999" ed è attualmente esposta nei più grandi musei del mondo tra cui il MoMA e il Metropolitan Museum Of Art di New York e il Musée Des Arts Décoratifs Di Montreal in Canada. Ludovico "Vico" Magistretti (Milano, 6 ottobre 1920 – Milano, 19 settembre 2006) è stato uno dei più importanti designer, architetto e urbanista italiani. Il suo design pulito ed essenziale ha caratterizzato e ispirato il mondo della creazione di mobili per la casa, l'ufficio e l'azienda per tutta la seconda parte del Novecento. La leggendaria azienda italiana di illuminazione Artemide è stata fondata in provincia di Milano nel 1959 dal designer e ingegnere Ernesto Gismondi, nato a Sanremo nel 1931, e dal designer Sergio Mazza, nato a Milano nel 1931. Come noto è stato quest'ultimo che progetta la Lampada Alfa, il primo prodotto di successo dell'azienda, un anno prima del lancio di Artemide. Nei decenni successivi entrambi i fondatori continuano a creare nuovi design per le collezioni in continua evoluzione di Artemide, il cui obiettivo è quello di sviluppare lampade distintive e accattivanti, comprese lampade a sospensione e a soffitto, in collaborazione con i maggiori talenti del design provenienti da tutto il mondo. .Poltrona Vicario disegnata da Vico Magistretti per Artemide, Italia anni '70.
