Pair of Beautiful 1960s Lounge Chairs in Patinated Solid Oak
A stunning set of two lounge chairs from the 1960s, crafted in solid light brown oak with a lovely patina. They have a light, elegant presence with finely balanced proportions. Both chairs feature high-quality Epeda spring inserts (metal frame with internal springs), offering far superior seating comfort compared to standard foam cushions.
Designed and produced in Denmark during the mid-century period, the chairs showcase rustic carved details that contrast beautifully with the otherwise slender frame. A very handsome pair.
They are in good vintage condition with some signs of wear consistent with age, as shown in the photos. The cushions are still usable – both in terms of fabric and internal support – and the chairs are compact, making them easy to place in smaller rooms.
One discreet previous repair has been made near the blot in the back; this is not visible when the chair is in use but is, of course, also documented in the photos.
If desired, the chairs can be disassembled easily for flat-pack shipping, which will help reduce shipping costs. Only two nuts need to be loosened; the remaining components are held together with keyhole fittings that simply slide apart.
