About the Item

Along with Wegner and Jacobsen, Finn Juhl is one of the most famous Danish furniture designers. The appeal of his works is said to be their sculptural curves and the beauty of their thoughtful design perfection. Since there are extremely few of his pieces in existence, they have increased in value on the world market and are now coveted by vintage collectors. The BO46 sofa was designed during his peak period. As the name suggests, it was designed in 1946, and its organic, sculptural form is characteristic of Finn Juhl's work from the 1940s. It has now been reissued by One Collection, but this is an original piece made by Bovirke. The robust wool blend fabric, which was reupholstered locally in Denmark, is delicate, and combined with the unique and beautiful silhouette, it is a gem that has been perfected to the utmost limit.
