Harvey Probber Architectural Series Loveseat
Harvey Probber loveseat from the Architectural series, featuring a restored walnut case with inset chrome legs. The clean-lined walnut frame creates a geometric enclosure around the seating area, characteristic of Probber's architectural approach to furniture design in the 1960s. Chrome legs recessed into the walnut base provide subtle metallic accents while maintaining the overall rectilinear form.
Walnut case has been professionally restored, returning the wood to clean, even tones. New button-tufted black leather cushions provide both seat and back support, with tufting adding textured detail to the smooth leather surface. Black leather contrasts with warm walnut tones and complements the chrome leg details.
Probber's Architectural series emphasized modular, geometric forms that could function as individual pieces or combine into larger seating arrangements. The loveseat's compact scale works well in smaller living spaces or as part of a larger furniture grouping.
