Two-Seat “Ecco” Loveseat by Slettvoll in Cognac Leather and Patinated Rattan, Norway, 1970s This beautifully preserved two-seat “Ecco” loveseat by Slettvoll Manilla Furniture, part of their sought-after Korggrupp series, was crafted in Stranda, Norway during the 1970s. A masterful combination of form and material, this piece pairs a sculptural rattan frame with deep, tufted cognac leather cushions — both aged with an exceptional natural patina. The bentwood frame flows in continuous curves, showcasing the elegant strength of steam-bent rattan construction. The back features hand-stitched leather sling panels, tensioned and laced to the frame with leather cord — a nod to Slettvoll’s artisanal craftsmanship and Norwegian design heritage. The twin seats are generously padded and upholstered in original cognac-toned aniline leather, now softened and richly toned by time and use. The color sits beautifully against the warm wood tones of the rattan, creating a rich, organic palette that’s as timeless as it is inviting. Sized at 120 cm wide, 77 cm deep, and 75 cm high (with a seat height of 40 cm), this loveseat comfortably seats two while retaining a compact, sculptural profile — ideal for modern interiors where both character and scale matter.
