About the Item
A smart and beautifully designed antique leather carver armchair / desk chair. This was made in England, it dates from around 1900-1910, though it could possibly be earlier.
It is of outstanding quality, the solid frame is beautifully carved with lovely decorations and a rope twist design under the armrest. The front of the armrests are carved with acanthus leaves and scroll over, pierced back has lovely carving at the top. This stands on beautifully tapered and grooved legs.
We have had the seat re-upholstered in a hand coloured russet leather, the frame has been re-polished. This is in excellent all round condition.
