Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this Important, Fully Restored hand made circa 1850 Dutch Marquetry Inlaid desk chair with green leather Chesterfield Tufted seat Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price This is one of the best looking and well made desk chairs I have ever seen, the timber grain, inlay and patina is sublime, for some reason the Dutch were the absolute masters of this kind of work, from what I hear the techniques they used have now been lost to time. Every square inch of this piece is carved and or inlaid with some kind of detail, this is pure art furniture from every angle and will truly elevate any office or home space Restoration wise it has been on a journey, the frame has been sympathetically washed back and French polished being sure to keep all the original age related patina, the leather seat pad is new Italian leather, its upholstered plain, hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed waxed down and polished Dimensions Height:- 86cm Width:- 58cm Depth:- 61cm Seat height:- 50cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
