About the Item

This vintage industrial office task chair was manufactured as a stenographer's chair by the office supply and typewriter company Remington Rand. The chair model is called the "Sit Wel" chair and was introduced to the market in the 1930s. The chair is an early ergonomic design featuring a height adjustable steel frame that rests on four rolling casters. The seat and back feature the intact original upholstery in a textured deep green vinyl.
