About the Item

A good quality English William IV period leather upholstered oak armchair, the curved button tufted back with wide arms and carved details over an ample seat, resting on reeded legs ending in brass caps and casters. A substantial and comfortable chair with nailhead trim throughout. The leather has faded to an attractive pale brown color. Circa 1835-1840.
